When we sat down with Paul Sladkus for his Good News Broadcast on July 1st, we were deeply moved by his decades-long commitment to peace. What began as a conversation quickly evolved into something much larger.
After careful internal discussion between my brother David and me, we have made a clear decision: UN Blockchain Week 2026 will officially support Paul Sladkus’ “Pause the World for Peace” initiative in Times Square on September 19th — the final day of our week-long program.
UN Blockchain Week is more than conferences and keynotes. It is a gathering of builders, investors, and visionaries who understand that lasting peace requires trust, transparency, and real human connection. Blockchain technology embodies these very principles — decentralized trust that no single entity can control.
Paul’s vision for a global pause in Times Square aligns perfectly with the spirit of what we are creating this September alongside the United Nations General Assembly. On the 19th, after our two-day premier conference, the Washington Elite Investment Summit & Gala, Bitcoin Palooza, and all our other programming, we will bring our entire community together in Times Square to stand for peace.
“Peace is not just an ideal — it is built through relationships, business realities, and shared purpose. We are proud to stand with Paul and make September 19 a day of unity.”

This is now an official part of UN Blockchain Week. We will promote the “Pause the World for Peace” gathering across all our channels and invite every speaker, sponsor, and attendee to join us in Times Square on the afternoon of September 19th.
The collaborative energy of UN Blockchain Week 2026
Paul Sladkus has spent over two decades strengthening the message of the International Day of Peace. His 24th anniversary gathering will feature peace messengers, human peace signs, live music, and a powerful midday moment of unity in the heart of New York City.
We believe this partnership sends a clear message: the future is built by those who choose to come together — not just in boardrooms, but in public spaces where humanity can pause and choose peace.

Blockchain technology and global peace — united in purpose
We look forward to standing alongside Paul Sladkus and thousands of others in Times Square on September 19th. This is more than an event — it is a statement that the builders of tomorrow believe in peace today.
Be part of this historic moment on the final day of UN Blockchain Week.
For our children and grandchildren — we choose peace.
