Masks Donated To American Red Cross At Walter Reed Naval Military Medical Center

This Memorial Day make sure to Thank a Vet! Led by Binance Charity, we were able to make a big impact by donating masks to the American Red Cross for our armed forces, their families, and our Veterans.

Binance representatives reached out wanting to know if we could help them donate much needed medical supplies/PPE to hospitals in the United States, and if we may be able to help source some of the N95 masks.  After they agreed to also donate a portion of those masks to the Veterans, our team began putting a plan into action.

The CEO of Binance, CZ is doing wonderful work helping millions of people during the deadly Covid-19 pandemic. There is a worldwide shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE) and they are using their resources to help those in need. It is a very noble effort and we are proud to take part. Without CZ’s leadership, and the money from his Binance Charity none of this would have happened. There were several other organizations that helped including the country of Liberland along with our GlobalBoost charitable partners, The Flame of Peace and Pac Global.

Early last week a large order of N95 masks landed at JFK Airport to be donated at hospitals and nursing homes. Most of the masks were distributed in the hard hit hospitals of NYC but as promised, some were to be delivered to our military and Veterans. These masks were destined to the Walter Reed Naval Military Medical Center.

“You’re gonna need a box truck for this”, they told me as I was organizing to get the masks from the warehouse in Long Island to Washington, DC. It just so happens that our  GlobalBoost CMO, Randy Schwarz lives in North Jersey so I called him to see if we could coordinate the pickup. He’s got a big heart and agreed immediately to help pick up the masks and bring them to Washington, DC. Randy, along with Emilio Mourão, who often works as cameraman on-location during our events loaded up the truck and began the long trip towards the US Capitol. It wasn’t an easy drive with that commercial truck loaded with masks but they made it!

They were able to get some of the masks to the Washington DC VA Medical Center, as well as to many other active duty soldiers, and veterans.

There are times in life when all the philanthropic work, all the traveling and all the people met along the way come together for something that is bigger than ourselves. This is one of those times. A big thank you to CZ and the entire Binance Charity team for making this happen! Hats off to Liberland, the Flame of Peace and Pac Global for our continued partnership using the blockchain for charitable work worldwide. Happy Memorial Day!
